FCSB Overcomes Csikszereda in a Hard-Fought Match
Miercurea Ciuc witnessed a vibrant match where FCSB prevailed over Csikszereda at the Stadionul Municipal. FCSB mostly dominated possession, with 57%, allowing them to create more scoring opportunities, accumulating 20 shots, 10 of which were on target. Csikszereda, on the other hand, fought with 43% possession, generating 10 shots, 5 of them on target.
The match remained tight until the 55th minute, when M. Edjouma of FCSB managed to break the tie with a goal, assisted by F. Tanase. FCSB’s lead would not last long, as in the 82nd minute, A. Pantea of FCSB scored an own goal, leveling the score. Despite this incident, FCSB controlled the game and kept Csikszereda at bay. The match, refereed by Iulian Calin, was marked by some yellow cards, one for each team: B. Vegh of Csikszereda in the 21st minute and B. Alhassan of FCSB in the 57th minute, in addition to a card for R. Ilyes of Csikszereda in the 85th minute. The match concluded with FCSB’s superiority over Csikszereda in the count of shots on goal, in addition to a greater number of corners 9 to 5.
