Tense Match at the Universitario: León and Tigres Draw in Foul-Laden Encounter
San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico – In a hard-fought match at the Estadio Universitario, León and Tigres UANL drew in a game marked by intensity and constant interruptions. The match, corresponding to Round 8 of the 2025 Apertura of Liga MX, was characterized by a high number of fouls and cards.
León dominated possession with 53%, generating 16 shots, 6 of which were on target. However, they failed to convert their superiority into goals. Tigres, with 47% possession, tried to create danger with 19 shots, although only 2 of them found the opponent’s goal.
The match heated up early, with a yellow card for S. Barreiro of León in the 19th minute. The situation worsened for Tigres in the 26th minute with the expulsion of J.
