Thrilling Draw in Moreira de Cónegos between Moreirense and Alverca
Moreira de Cónegos, Portugal – In a hard-fought match at Parque Desportivo Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, Moreirense and Alverca drew in a game marked by intensity and controversy. Moreirense dominated possession with 58%, but faced a well-organized Alverca that capitalized on its opportunities.
Guilherme Schettine opened the scoring for Moreirense in the 27th minute, following an assist from L. Ofori. However, Alverca responded before halftime with a penalty converted by Marezi in the 44th minute, after a first half where the aggressiveness was noticeable with two yellow cards, one for each team.
The second half was equally exciting. An Alverca goal was disallowed by VAR in the 58th minute. Moreirense, despite the multiple yellow cards received, maintained the pressure until the end and found the equalizer in the 90th minute thanks to a goal by Yan Maranhao, assisted by D. Pinto.
