Alianza Universidad Defeats Alianza Atlético in Hard-Fought Match in Huánuco
Huánuco witnessed a tight match between Alianza Universidad and Alianza Atlético, corresponding to matchday 18 of the Apertura of the Peruvian First Division. The match, played at the Estadio Heraclio Tapia León and refereed by Jordi Estanley Espinoza Valles, ended with a victory for the home team.
Despite Alianza Atlético dominating possession with 60% compared to Alianza Universidad’s 40%, it was the home team that proved more effective in front of goal. The first goal came just before halftime, in the 45th minute, thanks to J. Escobar.
The second half continued with intensity and both teams searching for a goal. However, Alianza Universidad managed to extend their lead in the 85th minute with a goal by Y. Mena, sealing the match. The match was marked by fouls, with a total of 17 committed by Alianza Universidad and 9 by Alianza Atlético. In addition, there were three yellow cards shown, two for Alianza Universidad players and one for Alianza Atlético.
Although Alianza Atlético tried to react, Alianza Universidad’s solid defense and their effectiveness in attack allowed them to take the victory at home.
