Viking Secures Dominant Home Win Against Stromsgodset
Stavanger, July 5, 2025 – Viking claimed a commanding victory over Stromsgodset at Lyse Arena in a match from the 12th round of the Norwegian Eliteserien. Viking’s dominance was overwhelming, reflected in their 67% possession of the ball. The only goal of the match came in the 38th minute thanks to J. Hansen, assisted by E. Austbo, unleashing joy among the home fans.
Viking generated 20 shots, 5 of which were on target, although they failed to convert more goals despite their offensive superiority. In addition, they accumulated 16 corners, showing their constant pressure on the Stromsgodset defense. Stromsgodset, on the other hand, had a difficult afternoon, with only one shot throughout the entire match, which posed no significant danger to the Viking goal.
