Tight Match in Cuiabá Ends in Draw
Cuiabá, Mato Grosso – In a hard-fought match at the Arena Pantanal, Cuiabá and Botafogo SP drew in a game where tension was palpable every minute. Ball possession was clearly in favor of the home side, Cuiabá, who held 65% of the ball. However, this control didn’t translate into a lead on the scoreboard.
Cuiabá generated 15 shots, but only 3 managed to be on target, while 9 went wide. Luck seemed to elude them when, in the 60th minute, Derik Lacerda missed a penalty.
