Universidad de Chile Stages Comeback Win Against Deportes Iquique in Thrilling Match
Santiago de Chile – In a hard-fought match at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos, Universidad de Chile secured a victory over Deportes Iquique in a game marked by intensity and controversy.
Deportes Iquique started strong, opening the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal by A. Ramos. The first half saw a slight advantage for the visitors, but Universidad de Chile did not falter.
The second half was a whirlwind of emotions. In the 58th minute, L. Di Yorio equalized for “La U”. Almost immediately prior, a goal by S. Pino had been disallowed for offside. Shortly after, in the 68th minute, R. Contreras converted a penalty, giving Universidad de Chile the lead. The match heated up, with several yellow cards handed out by the referee.
