Wuhan Three Towns Secure Home Victory Over Qingdao Jonoon
Wuhan, China – In a match held at the Wuhan Sports Center, Wuhan Three Towns triumphed over Qingdao Jonoon with a solid performance. Despite Qingdao Jonoon dominating possession with 57% compared to Wuhan’s 43%, the home team proved to be more effective in front of goal.
The first goal came early, in the 12th minute, thanks to A. Tudorie, assisted by M. Palacios, putting Wuhan in the lead. Palacios, however, received a yellow card in the 28th minute. The lead was extended in the 32nd minute with a goal from Gustavo Sauer, assisted by Darlan.
In the second half, Qingdao Jonoon attempted to react, but their efforts were thwarted. Although they managed to generate a similar number of shots (11 against Wuhan’s 12), their effectiveness in front of goal was notably lower (2 shots on target against 5). A goal by Qingdao Jonoon was disallowed by VAR in the 74th minute. Wuhan Three Towns managed the lead well, maintaining control despite yellow cards to M. Palacios and Long Wei. Defensive discipline and offensive effectiveness were key to Wuhan Three Towns’ victory.
